sanctions against Russia

Why are sanctions important if Russia is energy and agriculturally self-sufficient?

In the contemporary world, there are no nations that are entirely self-sufficient.

Russian agriculture depends heavily on Western seeds; without them, yields will decrease and final product costs will increase.

Russian oil production is dependent on Western technology, particularly Siemens, which abandoned the Russian market after significantly advancing the country's energy industry. I have a thorough film on the damage the invasion of Ukraine has done to the Russian economy and military. Even in terms of the movement of products within its own borders, modern Russia is dependent on the West.

So Lithuania banned the passage of goods that fell under sanctions through its territory. Thus, the Russian enclave - the Kaliningrad region, actually found itself under an economic blockade.  there are lot of video about the confrontation between Russia and Lithuania and how NATO will protect Lithuania from the Putin threat
