Buzz Aldrin is an American astronaut and the second person to walk on the moon. He was a member of the Apollo 11 mission, which was the first manned mission to land on the moon, in 1969. Aldrin piloted the lunar module while Neil Armstrong was the first person to step out of the module and walk on the surface of the moon.
