Gilgamesh

 

Gilgamesh was a demigod and ancient Sumerian monarch who ruled over the city of Uruk in 2700 BC, according to eastern mythology. Gilgamesh is born with superhuman strength, great courage, and a longer lifetime than ordinary because of his divine ancestry. An old story called The Epic of Gilgamesh, which was composed approximately 2000 BC, combines aspects of mythology and history. It narrates the story of a Sumerian king named Gilgamesh and his companion Enkidu, who undertook a number of perilous missions and adventures.

Up until he makes friends with Enkidu, which inspires him to govern less tyrannically and more compassionately, Gilgamesh was a cruel and oppressive king over the people in his country. After his pal Enkidu passed away,Gilgamesh, who is devastated by the passing of his companion, sets out to find the key to immortality. Along the way, he encounters Utnapishtim, the lone survivor of the Babylonian deluge who is searching for the key to immortality.

Gilgamesh is informed about a plant that can help one regain youth, and he eventually acquires it before a serpent eats it. He eventually understands that dying is inevitable and that accepting this fact is necessary for happiness. He subsequently makes his way back to Uruk, where he makes a promise to uphold the rule of law and rule with more efficiency using his supernatural abilities.
